A MAN accused of more than 1,200 indecent images of children is due to appear in court.
Stephen Crawford is due to face South Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Barrow after he was charged with three counts of making indecent photographs.
The 62-year-old is alleged to have made 503 of the most serious category A images as well as 240 category B and 528 category C.
The defendant, of Tower Wood in Windermere, is said to have committed the offences between May 1 2022 and January 31 2023.
He is due to make his first appearance in court over the charges on Monday.
