FURNESS magic man Jack Rhodes has been hard at work preparing for his UK tour and filming a segment for an as yet unannounced TV show.
Jack, from Ulverston, was the runner-up in this year's Britain's Got Talent, coming behind singer Sydnie Christmas.
He combines comedy and music into his act, impressing the judges with his routines which included a lie-detecting hat.
He announced on his social media: "The past 6 weeks have seen me working on my biggest and most exciting project yet - my live show.
"I’ve been pretty quiet online whilst doing all sorts of weird and wacky secret gigs and work in progress shows but I’m happy to say my brand-new-live-debut-stand-up-comedy-magic-ninety-minute-insert-adjectives-here-show ‘Part-Time Wizard, Full-Time Moron’ is coming together rather nicely.
"I’ve also been working on a lovely bit of merch and have also filmed something for a TV show (which I’m not allowed to talk about so shhh)."
Jack will embarking on his tour in eight weeks time, which he said he is 'so excited' about.
He will be launching the tour on Wednesday October 30 at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, followed by dates at Birmingham Town Hall, Newcastle Tyne Theatre and Opera House and Manchester Albert Hall.
Jack was an Ulverston Victoria High School student and only gave up his previous job as a nuclear engineer in January, before getting to second place in one of the UK's biggest televised talent shows six months later.
Speaking after the final, he said: "I'm over the moon with how the whole thing has gone. No part of me is bitter. The main thing I am feeling is a sense of relief that it went well."

After his final performance, judge Bruno Tonioli told him: "I'm telling you it's so smart, so original but above all what you have is an incredible natural charisma, stage presence - you really have star quality."
Following his talent show exploits, Jack said he would continue making online content, hoping to balance this and going on the road.
