POLICE have monitored speeds on a south Cumbria road after complaints from residents.
Following complaints from residents of possible speeding on Priory Road in Ulverston within the 30mph and 40 mph limits, Cumbria Police put their speed indicator device out and monitored speeds in both directions.
The force stated that at the time the indicator was placed over 90,000 vehicles travelled along the road.
"Speeds within the 40mph zone were within acceptable limits," police said.
"There was a small number of motorists who exceeded the 30mph limit so this area will be targeted through community speed watch and random enforcement action."
