A new paint party experience is coming to the Taste Cumbria festival.

The Brush and Tipple Paint Party will take place at The Vicky Shared Workspace in Cockermouth on the evening of Friday, September 27, before the main event on September 28 and 29.

The event combines an art workshop with drinks, allowing guests to sip while they paint.

Attendees will be guided step-by-step to create their own artwork inspired by a Highland cow print.

All supplies will be provided, and a 'relaxing and friendly atmosphere' is promised.

The event is open to all abilities and tickets are priced at £28.50.

Guests can bring their own drinks to the event, which starts at 7pm, and glasses will be provided.

Brush and Tipple events are just one of many happenings in Cockermouth during the Taste Cumbria festival weekend.

A supper club by The Cottage in the Wood team at the Low Hall The Lakes venue has already sold out.

Tickets for the Taste Cumbria Comedy Night will go on sale soon.

Kirkgate Arts is also hosting a sale of sporting goods, 'Kirk Kit', and there will be an art and craft fair at the United Reform Church on Main Street.

The main festival will take place on Main Street, Market Place, and Memorial Gardens car park, with producers' stalls, food stands, a drinks tent, children's entertainment, and live music.

Cumberland Council runs the Taste Cumbria events to boost the economy and offer various attractions.

The festivals are free to attend, with plenty of children's activities and some additional ticketed events.
