A club in Barrow is hoping that a splash of colour can be the key to supporting local charities.
The Furness Multi-Cultural Community Forum and Youth Club will be hosting a family fun day on Saturday, August 31 from noon until 6pm.
This will take place at Cavendish Park on Island Road in partnership with the Barrow Island Community and Sports Trust and it will feature a number of family friendly events including a colour run as the main event.
The hope is that, through the special occasion, the group can raise vital funds for CancerCare, which operates across south Cumbria and north Lancashire, Animal Welfare Furness, and the FMCF itself.
With all ages welcome, it will cost £5 to take part in the colour run and a further £5 for children to have fun on the inflatables.
