Tickets are in high demand for third annual Amblefest Beer and Music Festival.

The festival, the Cumbrian equivalent of Oktoberfest, will be held across three venues in Ambleside - The Flying Fleece, The Tap Yard and The Apple Pie.

The three-day event, starting on Friday, September 27, will feature live music, food and drink.

The opening day will kick off at 4pm with live music right through till 10.30pm.

The Saturday will see music from 1pm-11pm, while Sunday will finish slightly earlier at 10pm.

The festival will introduce a new outdoor 'Beer Bar' at the Tap Yard, offering a selection of new and unusual ales, beers, lagers and pilsners.

A new 'Burger Shack' will also be added to the existing street food offerings of gourmet wraps, pulled pork sandwiches, wood fired pizza slices and sundaes.

In addition to the food stalls, The Apple Pie and Flying Fleece will be open throughout the weekend.

The Apple Pie will be serving its regular menu until 4pm each day, and the Flying Fleece will open right through the day and evening offering a range of pub classics such as fish and chips, pie and mash, and sausage and mash.

The festival will showcase local and international beers and ciders, with more than 50 breweries participating.

Visitors can expect to see some uniquely named brews including Funky Fluid Gingy, Burning Sky, Northern Monk Faith and Chouffe Session.

Amblefest 2024 will feature the biggest musical line-up to date, headlined by local tribute act Meetwood Flac.

Other acts include Adrian's Youngsters, Trigger Happy, Atomic Brass, Fiona Hanlon, Native Cult, Ultrabyte and Jim Beam, covering a range of genres and eras between them.

Tickets for Amblefest are still available for £6 for the weekend.

Amblefest 2024 T-shirts and hoodies can be purchased for £14 and £25 respectively.
