A golf group in Barrow is doing its part to ensure that an Ulverston-based charity remains in the green.
Jim Capstick, of the Holker Golf Association, met with representatives from St Mary's Hospice on Monday, August 26 to present a cheque worth £150.
This 'generous' donation was merely a sign of things to come after the group recently named St Mary's as their charity of the year.
Jim said: "The group wanted to support a local charity in our own way and we decided that St Mary's was such a good cause, we were delighted to support them.
"They are a brilliant team that do a wonderful job - we will be donating to them again in the future."
The team at St Mary's lauded the group's 'support and kindness', and shared how grateful they were to get the recognition from yet another local organisation.
