WASDALE Mountain Rescue Team assisted a walker who had fallen on the Sty Head path at Bursting Knott, near Wasdale Head.
The walker had sustained knee and shoulder injuries after the fall in the evening of August 24 but 'fortunately, both were not serious.'
After calling the emergency services, she was able to continue walking slowly down from Sty Head towards Wasdale.
A mountain rescue team spokesperson said: "A small party was tasked with locating and then assisting the walker the rest of the way. Team members were still at base from the previous callout so they were on their way quickly."
Eight mountain rescue team members located the walker and then provided support for her to complete the descent to Wasdale Head. The call was finished at 00.10am the next day.
"We wish the walker a quick recovery," the spokesperson added.
