Three yachts are reported to have run aground in South Cumbria recently with two significant factors that may be to blame.
Storm Lilian battered UK shores on Thursday (August 22) with a rare super blue moon making an appearance on Monday (August 19).
Members of Furness Coastguard were first called to a stranded yacht on Wednesday (August 21) and then attended an incident on Saturday (August 24) to a 26ft yacht ran aground on Foulney Island.

The vessel broke free of its mooring on the coastline with no-one onboard.
On Sunday (August 25), volunteers from Millom Coastguard Team were called to a stranded yacht called Sable on Silecroft Beach.
A post created on the Furness Coastguard Facebook page said: "The team ensured that no one was onboard or requiring medical assistance.
"It looked like the vessel had dragged its anchors, but we ran out extra anchors to secure its location and prevent damage.
"The vessel was checked for an owner's phone number, but one could not be found.
"If you own a yacht, we strongly urge you to put an owners name and contact details in a window."
Station Manager Paul Helm was called to investigate all three incidents.
Whilst the circumstances of each stranding are being investigated and appeals have been put out for the yacht owners, Paul has named one factor, aside Storm Lilian, which may also have been to blame this week.

Paul said: "We've been called to three yachts this week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Whilst we continue to appeal for information about the yachts, there has been very high tides and a full moon so this could possibly be to blame."
The coastguard advises that if you own a yacht, be sure to put an owners name and contact details in a window.
If in danger on the coast or one of the four navigable lakes, Windermere, Coniston, Ullswater or Derwentwater then dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
