Furness coastguard were dispatched yesterday after a 26ft yacht ran aground on a Cumbrian Island.
The vessel broke free of its mooring on the Furness coastline yesterday (August 23) and ran aground Foulney Island.

Speaking on its Facebook page, Furness coastguard said: "A 4 person Coastguard team wearing flood rescue equipment made their way along the causeway to the island before the spring flood tide covered the causeway.
"The team ensured no persons were onboard, took the phone number of the owner and then called the Barrow Lifeboat for assistance.
"The Lifeboat secured the vessels anchor and then recovered the Coastguard team back to shore.
"If in danger on the coast or one of the four navigable lakes, Windermere, Coniston, Ullswater or Derwentwater then dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
