A SENTENCING date has been set for a man who assaulted his brother-in-law and former business partner.
Paul Russell, of Strathmore Avenue, Walney, will hear his sentence on October 2 after admitting assaulting a person thereby occasioning actual bodily harm when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates Court.
He pushed over Sean Kell in Barrow on March 27. The court previously heard the pair were business partners, including at the Wet Room bathroom shop, before a falling out.
Prosecutor Lee Dacre said in a previous hearing that Mr Kell was left with a 'significant' wound on his head as a result of the assault and had to attend hospital.
The court heard that Russell pushed Mr Kell and caused him to fall and hit his head on a defibrillator.
The 47-year-old was originally due to be sentenced on September 4.
