A BARROW woman will have to pay hundreds of pounds after damaging a police cell and assaulting a police officer.
Melanie Reid, 48, of Whitehall Caravan Park, admitted damaging the Cumbria Constabulary property and assault by beating of an emergency worker on February 25.
She will have to pay £357.60 in compensation for the damage to the cell, and she was fined £80 for assaulting the police constable.
Reid was also handed a community order which will mean participation in a rehabilitation activity.
