A SECTION of a road in the Lake District is going to be temporarily closed for broadband works.

A section of Biskey Howe Road in Bowness will be closed Fibrus Networks Limited works are being carried out. 

This is anticipated to start on August 27 and take up to three days to complete.

The location is at Biskey Howe Road, Bowness on Windermere from its junction with the Craig Walk, extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 200 meters.

An alternative route can be found via Lake Road, Helm Road and the unrestricted sections of Biskey Howe Road.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained where required for the duration of these works.
