THE headteacher of Furness Academy said he was once again 'delighted' with the achievements of its GCSE students.

Simon Laheney said he was 'really proud' of what students accomplished and praised staff for the support.

Mr Laheney said: “Once again, we are delighted with the achievements that our students are celebrating today. We have had some great individual successes at Furness Academy, with many fantastic results to celebrate. The students results reflect their hard work, their dedication and their aspiration to achieve.”

"I would also like to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of our staff, along with parents and carers, who have all played their part in supporting our students during their time at Furness Academy. It is always a real team effort.”

"I am really proud of what our students have accomplished and that now, with their results, they have what they need to go onto to their anticipated destinations in September. We wish them every success in the future.”
