A SECTION of road in Furness is set to close for three days for electricity works. 

A section of the U5069 on Foxfield Road in Broughton in Furness will be closed whilst Electricity North West works are carried out.

This is anticipated to take up to three days to complete from August 27.

The location will be from a point approximately 105 meters southwest of its junction with Broughton Park, extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 45 meters

An alternative route can be found via the unrestricted sections of Foxfield Road, A595, A593, New Street and Market Street.

Due to the nature of the works, it is not possible to maintain access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists through the extent of the temporary road closure.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained where required for the duration of these works.
