Honister Pass, located in the Lake District, is flooded this morning after a huge amount of rain overnight.
The Environment Agency issued several flood warnings for across Cumbria and the north west on Wednesday evening, with heavy rain predicted in the early hours of the morning.
Honister Pass has seen over 100mm of rain in the last six hours alone (time of writing 8.30am), with 144mm in total in the last 24 hours.
By contrast, the area hadn't seen more than 10mm of rain in any single hour period over the last three days.
The mountain pass is located on the B5289 road, linking Seatoller, in the valley of Borrowdale, to Gatesgarth at the southern end of Buttermere.
