A new exhibition will showcase the fusion of traditional art and artificial intelligence.
The Cook House Crafts gallery in Bowness-on-Windermere is set to host Daniel Cooper's exhibition, Art & AI – Inspired by The Lake District.
Running from September 14 to October 27, the exhibition will present original artwork alongside AI-enhanced video displays.
Mr Cooper stated that he was pleased to announce a new solo exhibition of his original work but this time with a difference.
He said: "In the advent of AI and the possibilities it gives for creativity in the arts, I have used various AI software applications to set my original work in motion."
The exhibition will feature framed artworks of the Cumbria landscape in charcoal, mixed media, and print.
These will be complemented by a video slideshow showing Cooper's drawings and paintings transformed into moving landscapes.
Mr Cooper said: "Initially I was rather suspicious of all things AI, but as the tech became more mainstream – particularly in its utilisation in online creativity – I became intrigued.
"Clearly AI tech is advancing rapidly, and my exploration has led me to want to try it as another form of media as if it is just a part of 'mixed media' in a painting."
The opening event on September 14 from 11am to 3pm will give visitors a chance to meet the artist and enjoy complimentary soft drinks.
Mr Cooper will be showcasing new and past works, giving them the AI treatment.
He said: "Nothing can replace the actual original hand-made artwork, but I look to AI as a tool to add to the drama, the passing of time, and the motion of light in my landscapes."
The exhibition will be the first of its kind in the Lake District, blending traditional handcrafted art with AI.
Mr Cooper said: "For the very first time, traditional hand-crafted art and AI are experienced together in one exhibition in The Lake District."
The artist will also have a selection of original works and prints available for purchase.
The opening afternoon on September 14 will be an opportunity for art enthusiasts to see the unique combination of traditional and modern artistic techniques.
Visitors are encouraged to RSVP to the Cook House Crafts gallery.
In addition to the exhibition, Mr Cooper has recently launched a unisex clothing range called FELLWEAR.
The complete collection can be viewed on his website.
