An annual lifeboat gala is returning to Barrow this weekend as part of the RNLI's 200th anniversary celebrations.
Organised by the Barrow Lifeboat Station, the event will take place on Saturday, August 24 from 1pm until 4pm on the Green at Marine Terrace on Roa Island.
The highlight of the day will be an 'all action' display featuring the crews of Barrow's Tamar Class 'Grace Dixon' and D-Class 'Raymond and Dorothy Billingham'.
Thanks to a partnership with the Transport Museum, a vintage bus ride will also be available on the day from the Paddock at Rampside.
Entrance will cost just £1, with children under the age of 12 able to experience the festivities for free.
A variety of stalls will hope to bring in more money for the station, selling RNLI souvenirs, books, plants, cakes and refreshments - with a village hall tombola also taking place.
