Ford Park is gearing up to host a colourful ensemble of artists following the success of the May-held Art in the Park.

Artists Peter and Marie Graves, Val Stangoe, Rebecca Bennett, Sarah Brown, Nisha Halo, Kathryn Stevens, and Marie Rollet are part of the line-up.

The Williams Room, Coach House Courtyard, Terrace and Walkway will provide the backdrop for exhibiting artists.

The garden will be open for guests to enjoy, as will the Beehive shop and plant nursery.

Visitors can look forward to not only appreciating the displayed art; they can also engage the artists on their technique, choice of medium and inspiration, and maybe purchase a piece.

While absorbing the art, visitors are invited to put their creative streak to the test.

Picasso the Park Python, a community chalk snake art project, awaits contributors.

Participants are encouraged to draw colourful patterns on small sections as the 'python' makes its path along the walkway and the garden, potentially even slithering out towards Hoad.

This community activity, free and open to all ages, only requires a chunk of chalk, a dash of colour and a slice of imagination.

Any money raised from the sale of the stalls will support the Ford Park charity.

The event will take place on September 1 from 11am-3pm.

Artists hoping to exhibit their work are urged to get in touch via the Ford Park website at https://www.ford-park.org.uk/.
