A DRINK driver was nearly four times the legal limit when stopped by police, a court heard.
Barrow man Mark Singleton was over the limit when driving a BMW 320 at Asda car park in the town on June 23.
The 36-year-old had 127 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - over the limit of 35 - South Cumbria Magistrates' Court was told.
Singleton, of Mill Bank, was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work by the court after admitting the offence.
He was also told to abstain from alcohol.
Singleton was handed a 48-week driving ban by the court.
