Rescue teams from across the Lake District have been improving their skills to help injured paragliders.
The workshop was hosted by Langdale and Ambleside MRT, inviting other teams from across the region to take part.
The session gave Lake District Search And Mountain Rescue Association (LDSAMRA) team members an opportunity to focus on the rope rescue aspects of these potential incidents.
A spokesperson from Langdale and Ambleside MRT commented: "Throughout the Lakes, flying enthusiasts can often be seen high above the fells enjoying themselves and, from time to time, they may require our assistance.
"Therefore, the team set about improving their knowledge and technical ability - skills were developed and refined throughout the day, then applied to several rescue scenarios.
"The team would like to send out a massive thanks to all those who attended and supported the event, as well as Lyon Work and Rescue for allowing us to use their training facility."
Matt Butler, of the MRT, will be presenting some of the findings from the day at the Mountain Rescue England and Wales (MREW) Conference in September with a view to increase awareness across the broader mountain rescue community.
