A HIKER required mountain rescue assistance after they dislocated their shoulder while ascending Jack's Rake, a scramble on Pavey Ark.
The hiker was assisted by Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT), Kendal Mountain Search and Rescue Team and a Coastguard helicopter after the crews received the call at 10.14am on Saturday, August 17.
A spokesperson from LAMRT said: "Their shoulder popped back but left them in a lot of pain. They were lowered using a rope system to the base of the Rake, from where they were assisted in walking the rest of the way down."
This was one of several calls during a busy weekend for the mountain rescue team, which also involved helping a woman with a fractured wrist and hikers who had become cragfast.
