A FESTIVAL celebrating Barrow's maritime heritage took place for the first time.
Sunday saw the introduction of the Barrow Quayside Festival, organised by Barrow Business Improvement District, on the quayside by Morrisons.
Stallholders took the quayside to celebrate the town's maritime heritage, nature and wildlife, including a special jet-ski freestyle show in the dock.
Professor Pumpernickel took to the main stage putting on a scientific show entertaining all ages while Boom Dang brought a high-energy musical performance for the whole family.
The day also had live music performances, nature and wildlife exhibits and even a mermaid.
The event was part of the debut year of the Brilliant Barrow weekend with a combination of multiple events across the town.
The three-day weekend began with the Dock Museum's Victorian Promenade on Friday which saw the museum transform into a vintage promenade featuring live music, acrobats and vintage games to play and the Soapbox Derby on Saturday which saw many local businesses and organisations competing to set the fastest lap down the 340-metre high street race course.
