AN URGENT road closure has been put in place to allow Westmorland and Furness Highways to carry out urgent highway repair works.
The location of the closure is at Myrtle Terrace in Dalton from its junction with Skelgate, extending in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 185 meters.
This notice will be in force for a period not exceeding five days from August 19.
It is expected that the work will take five days.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be available via Skelgate, Market Street, Nelson Street and Chapel Street.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained where required for the duration of these works.
