A volunteer at a charity in Millom is putting herself through a gruelling mountain climb challenge later this week.
Julia O'Neill, who gives up her time for the Millom And Around the Combe Community Group (MACCG), will be donating the money raised through her endeavour back to the charity.
Over the course of three straight days, starting this Friday (August 23), Julia will be tackling Scafell Pike, the Old Man of Coniston, and Black Combe.
Explaining why she is going to all this effort, she explained: "It's simply to get funds back into the community.
"I chose those three mountains because they are probably the worst ones, so it's more of a challenge!"
The idea came to Julia thanks to a recent conversation with her son, Ben Reed, who will be joining her during the challenge.

She added: "I was chatting with Ben, who wanted to do a hike like this for his mental health, as well as to raise funds for the rugby team he coaches down in Earlestown near Warrington - the Under Nine’s Newton Storm Rugby Team - along with his friend Grant Rae.
"And I thought, why not? It means that I can do my own fundraising for the charity, and they'll be alongside me throughout the climbs."
Julia helped form the MACCG back in July, assisted by former Millom Network Centre employees Kath Edwards, Carol Farren and Sue Dust, and former MNC trustee Sarah Sharpe.
Discussing Julia's quickly approaching challenge, Sue commented: "We wish her all the luck in the world.
"We as a team are proudly supporting her, if anyone wishes to sponsor her, we have sponsor forms in the shop, or they can contact us for bank details to donate directly into our bank."
If you would like to sponsor Julia, then you can visit the group's new shop at 10 St George's Terrace in Millom or you contact the team via their website.
