An upcoming charity event in Millom will give locals the chance to 'dust off their glad rags' to support a worthwhile cause.
The summer ball is taking place on Friday, September 6 from 7pm to late at Millom Cricket Club.
This is being done on behalf of the Millom and District Royal Naval Association, with the £40 tickets going towards their efforts.
The association looks after current and former Naval Service personnel, along with their relatives.
At the ball, men are asked to wear their finest suits - with the option to display any medals they may possess - whilst women are invited to wear cocktail dresses or trouser suits.
Those in attendance will be entertained by singer Beth Horan, whilst a raffle and two prize draws will also take place.
