A MAN has been jailed after admitting 20 sex offences, some involving children. 

Simon Tesseyman, 32 of Barrow pleaded guilty to all charges he faced and was sentenced today (16 August) at Preston Crown Court.

The offences spanned from 2019 -2024.

The overall charges in this case include multiple charges of making indecent images, multiple counts of sexual activity with a child, multiple counts of distributing indecent photographs of children and voyeurism.

Tesseyman, received a 13-year sentence, in which he will serve eight years in custody and the remaining five on extended licence, he must also sign the sex offenders register for life.

He has also been given a restraining order and notification requirements until the court declares otherwise.

Detective Constable Sarah Aiston who was the investigating officer in the case said: “These are horrendous crimes. I can only imagine what this experience was like for the victims and the impact it has had on their lives.

“I would like to praise the victims in this case for the courage they have shown throughout the investigation.

“Cumbria Constabulary is committed to thoroughly and compassionately investigating all reports of serious sexual offences.

“I would encourage anyone who has been victim to a sexual offence to contact police so that our officers can investigate. Your report will be dealt with sensitively and professionally.”
