A group in Barrow is helping older residents be reunited with the sports they once loved.
The Sporting Memories club, organised by St Mary's Hospice, has been running since June, working alongside Active Cumbria to allow people to 'reminisce, replay and reconnect through the power of sport and physical activity'.
On Wednesday, August 14, members of the club tried their hand at crown green bowling, an opportunity to stay active and nurture their mental health.

The group is largely designed for people living with dementia, reducing the levels of isolation they typically face at their age.
The meetings allow participants to connect with other people going through the same thing, as well as introducing them to healthcare experts.
