Ulverston's Dickensian Festival is turning 25 years old, with the town council looking to recognise the people who brought it to life.
While officially founded in 2000, the festival's committee has been running since the year previous, meaning 2024 will be a time of celebration by the time the event makes its return.
A quarter of a century later, the festival is still going strong, being said to have welcomed a record number of attendees last year.
Ulverston Town Council shared on Friday (August 16) that they were in the process of hunting down former festival committee members for an upcoming special commemorative event.
They asked for anyone who has played a role in the event's success across the past 25 years to come forward so that their efforts can be properly acknowledged.
