THIS weekend will see a range of free family events happening across Barrow.
The Brilliant Barrow weekend will kick off on Friday August 16 with a Victorian Promenade at The Dock Museum. Visitors can travel to the promenade 'in style' on a vintage bus, and there will be a free park and ride service in operation between Furness College and The Dock Museum.
The bus service will run from 10am until 4pm courtesy of the Barrow Transport Museum Trust.
On Saturday, August 17 there will be the Soapbox Derby in Barrow Town Centre, and on Sunday, August 18 the Quayside Festival will take place by Morrisons.
The weekend is a Barrow BID event in partnership with BAE Systems and Westmorland and Furness Council.
