MOUNTAIN rescuers were called out to 12 lost walkers on a Lake District summit.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team were called by Cumbria Police initially reporting a group of 12 walkers lost on Swirl How. One of the walkers had reportedly a cramp.
The phonefind function located them on Prison Band and after a phone conversation it was agreed to allow them to continue town towards Levers Water.
The team reported that three of the people had already set off down and were able to make their way back to the village.
Three Land Rovers were dispatched to Levers Water dam and the team walked up from there, meeting the group around Swirl Hawse.
"They were escorted down to Levers Water and driven down to the Rescue Base for warm drinks and some food," said a team's spokesperson.
14 volunteer team members attended, and the incident, at 8.23pm on August 10, lasted for three hours.
