16 volunteers took to the streets of Ulverston at the weekend to clean up litter ahead of Britain in Bloom judges next week.
A post created on the Ulverston Business Improvement District Facebook page on Sunday (August 11) thanked the volunteers along with local café Moma's Kitchen for providing much-needed refreshments.
The town’s BID was revealed as one of the 52 finalists of the 2024 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom Finals 2024.

The judges will visit on Wednesday next week (August 21) as Ulverston BID competes to be the winner in one of 11 categories before hoping to be crowned RHS Britain in Bloom Overall Winner for a second time.
The Ulverston - Cumbria in Bloom entry goes in alongside others in the Business Improvement Districts category including InExeter, South West in Bloom, Team London Bridge BID, London in Bloom and Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, Anglia in Bloom.
Groups will be judged against criteria with the environment, community engagement and horticulture at its core.
