A COASTGUARD team was called out to a report of three young children cut off by the tide.
Furness Coastguard was tasked with three separate incidents on Sunday (May 11) including a report of three young children cut off by an incoming tide at White Rock beach at Millom.
A spokesperson for the team said the parents were located and a welfare check was made on the children to see if they needed medical care.
The spokesperson said: "The parents had not realised we had been called and they confirmed the children were safe, well and happily playing."
The Furness team was also tasked along with Bay Search and Rescue to support their colleagues at Arnside with a report of a person trapped in quicksand.
The Arnside team extracted the person and delivered them care while the Furness team were stood down en route.
The team was also called to a suspected ordnance reported in an area of the slag bank at Barrow. Cumbria Police also attended and the incident was handed over to them.
If in danger on the coast or one of the four navigable lakes, Windermere, Coniston, Ullswater or Derwentwater then dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
