A popular race in Cumbria is looking to build upon the 'tremendous success' of its predecessors as it gets ready to return.
The Ulverston summer 10k road race, along with a one-mile fun run, will once again see people putting their pace to the test on Wednesday, August 14.
This is building upon the 'tremendous success' of the Paul Jarvis Mile Race and relay events hosted earlier in the year by Hoad Hill Harriers.
The course, which attracts runners from all over South Cumbria and beyond, starts near Canal Foot above the Bay Horse and passes up Watery Lane, turning onto the coast road through the Manjushri Priory grounds and back the way it started.
Registration is open at the Glaxo Sports Club on North Lonsdale Road from 5.30pm, with entry on the night costing £15 for club-affiliated runners or £18 for unaffiliated participants.
The Fun Run starts at 6.30pm, with £4 entry, whilst the 10k starts at 7pm.
You can pre-enter until Monday, August 12, for £12 or £14 depending on club affiliation.
