A 55-year-old man died after collapsing while on a walk.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said they were called by the Northwest Ambulance Service (NWAS) at 9.53am on August 6, reporting a 55-year-old man having collapsed at Cat Gill, with CPR being performed by a passing walker.
NWAS medics arrived quickly, followed shortly my Keswick mountain rescuers and medics from the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS).
A spokesperson from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said: “Unfortunately despite the best efforts of all involved the man could not be saved.
“Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to the man’s family and friends.”
