A maritime celebration will take place this weekend, with an array of ships and boat attractions on offer.
The Barrow Tall Ships Festival in Barrow-in-Furness will transform the town's quayside, next to Morrisons, from 11am to 17:30pm on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11.
Stalls in the Morrisons car park will open from 9am.
The festival promises to be a fun and educational experience for the whole family.
The Pelican of London, Spirit of Falmouth, Leader, landing craft HW Samson, wind farm CTV Rix Panther, and tugs Brocklebank, Furness Abbey, and Bay Towage will all make an appearance.
Alongside the grand vessels, attendees can expect 25 smaller boats.
Other activities on offer include interactive information stalls, food vendors, an art trail, face painting, and a lively music stage.
Event organisers David Cooskey and Andrew Naylor, from Something Leisure Community, are thrilled to bring the Tall Ships Festival back to Barrow this year.
The event is sponsored by BAE Systems, and supported by Associated British Ports Barrow and Seas Your Future.
Seas Your Future chief executive officer, Adrian Ragbourne, said: "We are delighted to be sailing into Barrow again on Friday, August 9, and looking forward to annual visits to Cumbria in the future offering sail training to youngsters from the area.
"We are extremely grateful to several funders who have met the costs to enable these youngsters to sail with us.
"We are also very grateful to Andrew Naylor from Something Leisure Community for his support in organizing these annual voyages with Barrow youngsters."
The organisers also wished to thank the volunteers who contributed their time and effort to the event.
