A new series of free support sessions are coming to Barrow to help people living with long-term health conditions.

The sessions are being organised by St Mary's Hospice and will take place at the charity's Compassionate Community Hub on Duke Street from Tuesday, August 13.

The aim of the scheme is to provide support for locals living with breathlessness as a symptom of a progressive health condition.

Experts will share breathing techniques and positions to ease the problem, relaxation tips, mindfulness advice, exercises for lung health, and the benefits of facial cooling.

The sessions will be held every Tuesday between 1.30pm and 3pm at no charge for those involved.

If you or someone you know could benefit from these supportive sessions, you can contact the St Mary's team on 01229 444407.
