Furness Probus held a golden social event to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The event, held at the club's headquarters in Barrow, was attended by around 60 people including the mayor, Cllr Judith McEwan, who was joined by her husband Bill, who is also a councillor.
Probus Club is a club for retired or semi-retired professionals or businesspeople who get together twice a month at social events.
These events offer a chance for members to catch up with each other, participate in a quiz, or take part in versions of popular shows like 'Have I Got News for You'.
The club also invites along speakers from organisations in the area to talk about what they do.
The club is looking for new members who are welcome to go along to a meeting to find out what it is all about.
