Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was called into action to assist a woman who was having medical issues at Tarn Hows.

The team was called out by North West Ambulance Service at 12:31pm on Saturday August 3.

Two Land Rovers were dispatched and one was able to use the path to get to the woman directly.

She was assessed and then driven to the main car park for further examination.

It was eventually decided that she had recovered enough not to need a land ambulance but advised to go to Furness General Hospital for a check over.

They were called out to an incident the night before, read more here.

Incident number 46 of 2024 was attended by 15 volunteer team members and the incident lasted for one hour and 45 minutes.
