Older residents in Furness have been reminiscing about their favourite sporting memories thanks to Barrow Raiders.
The rugby club conducted a special tour of the Northern Competitions Stadium on Tuesday, July 30 in partnership with St Mary's Hospice's Community Hub.
The hub, found on Duke Street, has been running a new 'sporting memories' group since June, which looks to bring people out of their shells by reliving old glories and connecting through shared triumphs.
As a spokesperson from St Mary's explained: "Our Sporting Memories club is for anyone living with dementia or their carers who are wanting to be more active and socialise in a safe and supportive environment.
"We gladly took in the sights [at the stadium] and shared special memories of watching and playing the game, and we have lots more planned for this year.
"We'll be heading over to Barrow Park for some crown green bowls next month, then in September we'll be hitting the park with our bikes, gearing up for some cycling adventures."
