A leisure centre in south Cumbria is helping families through 'challenging times' by offering free swimming lessons.
After more than three decades, Dalton Leisure Centre is currently going through a rebrand to 'revitalise' the organisation.
This will see it take on the mantle of 'Dalton Dolphins Swim School', a change that will be cemented by the time September rolls around.
A spokesperson from the centre said: "This change not only honours our heritage but also introduces a streamlined pathway for swimmers, designed to enhance progression and increase the recognition of their achievements.
"Our community has voiced concerns about the accessibility of swimming lessons given the growing waiting list, and we’re addressing these issues head-on."

The centre believes that, by improving the organisational structure, young swimmers who have not been able to secure lessons will be better served.
One of the key changes being made is the implementation of free lessons for children going forward.
"To support families during these challenging times, we are also introducing a new policy where children enrolled in lessons can swim for free all year round, not limited to school holidays - this includes those attending one-to-one sessions," said a spokesman.
"We believe these changes will significantly enhance the experience at Dalton Dolphins Swim School, and we are eager to kick off this new chapter in September."

For children under the age of three, one parent will also be allowed to enter the pool at no charge, though payment is required to be with kids aged four and over.
The centre has faced criticism from users for its communication process, which the team itself described as a 'shortcoming'.
"We acknowledge that our current systems, including the emailing platform and mobile app, have not met expectations," they added.
"Rest assured, we are exploring alternative solutions to ensure that you receive timely and accurate information moving forward."
