A charity in south Cumbria is providing free school and nursery uniforms for families struggling with the cost.

The Millom and Around the Combe Community Group (MACCG) is looking to support parents by offering up the clothing at no charge ahead of the upcoming academic year.

They hope that, by sharing the good quality items for free, it will make getting children ready for school in Cumbria 'less painful'.

The service has already proven to be popular, with a few items now low in stock, so people are being encouraged to take advantage of the offer whilst it is still available.

The charity is also hoping for residents to come forward to donate items that they no longer need to the cause, so that they can find them a new home to appreciate them.

You can browse the clothes on offer, or drop off donations, by visiting the MACCG at their new home at 10 St George's Terrace.
