A pub in Dalton wants to be crowned as the best place to get a pint in Furness.
Back in July, The Mail launched the 'Best Pub 2024' award with readers subsequently nominating their favourites.
From this, the ten finalists have now been revealed with readers able to vote for their pub of choice by picking up copies of the newspaper until August 3.
Each of the ten establishments will feature in their own article with a different one being highlighted each day as they vie to earn your support in the campaign.

For the final stop in the series, we pull up a stool at the Red Lion in Dalton, found at 5 Market Street.
Chas, Paul and Emma Bell first moved into the pub back in 2019 after the Red Lion had been up for sale for around a year.
They had previously made their mark on a fellow competitor in Dalton, having run the Brown Cow Inn at Goose Green for more than three decades before making the switch.
Since then, they have transformed the Red Lion into something more than just a place to grab a quick drink, with upgrades to the site's rooms meaning it is also the perfect spot for staying in the market town.

Before the Bells moved in, the pub was managed by Nicky and Dru Royle from 2014, before they were forced to sell up in 2019 due to the 'struggling' pub industry.
Despite those challenges still very much being prevalent for local pubs across the country, the Red Lion included, the Bells have managed to ensure that the business is still there to greet residents and visitors alike for nearly five years.
You can give the Red Lion the best shot at being named as the best pub in Furness by picking up a copy of The Mail before the competition closes on August 3.
