Now we're well into the summer holidays, there has never been a better time to visit the seaside - weather permitting, of course.
Cumbria is awash with incredible pubs littering its coast, but now one has received special praise from a reviewer in the Guardian.
Seaside pubs are famously hit-and-miss, but the same can not be said for this 'magical' little spot in Maryport.
'A magical Sunday roast in Cumbria'
The Lifeboat Inn at Maryport
Jonathan Bradley for The Guardian said: "The Lifeboat Inn at Maryport on the Cumbrian coast asked what carvery meats I wanted with my £10 Sunday roast. Er, I shrugged, so they gave me one of each, then asked if I also wanted Cumberland sausage or a homemade pie.
"But I had to leave room for the roasties, the Yorkshire puds and choice of six veggies and six sauces. The backdrop of the working harbour, Solway Firth, and magically floating Isle of Man gave my appetite strength to finish it without being rushed.
"Lovely ale too, to match the welcome and service. No website, but Facebook-friendly and we hadn’t even booked."
On Tripadvisor, The Lifeboat Inn boasts a 4.5 rating out of 259 reviews.

A glowing review this month said: "Just been in for the Sunday Carvery. The food was delicious and plentiful. The buffet vegetables were all hot and great. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. If you want a Sunday lunch this is the place to go."
Another wrote: "Found the pub on a Google search for Carvery. Sunday food is 12-2 so knew we would have to get in early Arrive at 12:05 and already queued up to the front door, soon found out why.
"The Carvery is upstairs and it’s a bit cramped but such big portions! No Toby short changing here! The meat and roasts were superb, here on holiday and will definitely be back."
