AN urgent highway repair works notice has been put on a road linking Witherslack to the A590.
The Westmorland and Furness Council notice said 'it is expected that the works will take five days.' A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained.
The council prohibited with immediate effect the passage of vehicles along the along the section of the C5046 Town End from its junction with the A590 extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 655 metres.
The notice states that 'a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be available via the A590, U5623 and the unrestricted section of the C5046.'
