A GREEN-fingered woman has raised thousands for charity thanks to the beauty of her garden.
Barbara Bullock recently hosted an 'Open Garden Day' at her Windermere home in the hope of bringing in donations for St Mary's Hospice, based in Ulverston.

Barbara met with representatives from the hospice to present the team with a cheque worth £2662 thanks to her fundraising efforts.
The open day asked visitors for an entrance fee that went towards the ultimate total, as well as offering cakes, sandwiches and a various assortment of bric-a-brac.
St Mary's thanked Barbara for the donation that will go towards funding their daily services across south Cumbria, and described the Cumbrian as a 'bushel' of joy.
