Two long-serving landlords are getting ready to hand over the reins to their daughter, and will hope to see off their career with award glory.
At the start of the month, The Mail launched the 'Best Pub 2024' award with readers subsequently nominating their favourites.
From this, the ten finalists have now been revealed with readers able to vote for their pub of choice by picking up copies of the newspaper until August 3.
Each of the ten establishments will feature in their own article with a different one being highlighted each day as they vie to earn your support in the campaign.

We return to Ulverston for the third and final time now and walk through the doors of the Rose and Crown at 22 King Street.
There, Roger and Sharon Chattaway have been running the pub for over four decades, but are taking a step back to leave the pub in the capable hands of their daughter, Rebecca Athersmith.
She said: "The Rose and Crown has been in our family for well over 40 years now - mum and dad are currently Robinson's brewery's longest serving landlords.
"Before them, it was my Dad's mum, my Granny Annie, and she was the landlady and now I am taking over from my parents - it's in our blood, I'm the fourth or fifth generation publican now."
Rebecca went on to describe how 'great' it feels for the pub to be nominated as one of the best in Furness, particularly in the current climate.
"Working in hospitality is not easy and we are lucky to have some great staff and wonderful customers.
"The Rose has always been a cosy, foodie pub with open log fires and traditional pub food and a great place to enjoy the sun with a drink in the beer garden."
Is the long service of Roger and Sharon enough to get your vote? Pick up a copy of The Mail before August 3 to make sure your voice is heard.
