Having revealed their submission last Friday, they are now relying on their fellow residents to get their hands dirty to give them the best shot at winning.
On August 11 between 10am and 12.30pm, and on August 13 between 1.30pm and 4.30pm, people have been asked to pick up litter and get rid of weeds.
Free refreshments and snacks will be provided for all those who lend a hand.
People who are willing to help should contact admin@ulverstonbid.org.uk or call 01229 666069.
The town will be judged by a team from RHS Britain in Bloom on Wednesday, August 14.
