A coastal rescue team in Cumbria has been putting extra funding to good use to get some 'vital' training done.
Members of the Haverigg Inshore Rescue Team completed the 'Capsize and Sea' survival training at Fleetwood Nautical Campus earlier this week.
This was made possible through funding from West Cumbria Community Development.

A spokesperson from the team commented: "During the day, they took part in multiple exercises including learning how to safely enter and exit a capsized boat.
"They practised vital strategies to keep safe at sea if anyone was to end up overboard - fingers crossed we never need to use this skill.
"The day ended with a final exercise where all the elements were simulated and crew members had to make their way to safety within the water before being winched out."
