A festival is returning to Barrow this weekend to celebrate the diversity the town has to offer.
The Cumbria Unity Festival will be taking place on Saturday, July 27 in the town centre from 12 noon to 5pm.

It will feature live music, free workshops, food tasting, street performers and wide range of extra entertainment.
The idea of the event is to support and encourage people of all backgrounds and communities to come together and celebrate.
The annual festival provides a unique space and welcomes people of all communities and backgrounds to meet, converse, learn, have fun, explore new ideas, find understanding and build connections with one another.

Last year, people got to try cuisines from the Caribbean, Africa, Brazil, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria, China, India, Turkey, Albania and Greece.
The very first Cumbria Unity Festival was held in Carlisle in 2016, and has since grown to be a popular date on the calendar across the county.
